During the academic year, Stony Brook Catholic Campus Ministry serves throughout Long Island and New York City. We also provide opportunities to participate in domestic and international mission trips.
Last year, students served the homeless with the Street Ministry at St. John the Evangelist Church in Center Moriches, visited the L’Arche home in Riverhead, volunteered with the Sisters of Life in their various missions, traveled to Washington, D.C. to give witness at the March for Life, served the elderly at Queen of Peace Residence with the Little Sisters of the Poor, and assisted at St. Joseph’s Home for the Aged with the Missionary Sisters of St. Benedict. Opportunities to serve abound each year. Be sure to join our mailing list for up to date information.
For one week during the January break, students from Stony Brook join their peers from Adelphi, Hofstra, and LIU Post on an international mission trip sponsored by the Diocese of Rockville Centre.
Most recently, students traveled to the Dominican Republic with Mustard Seed Communities to serve children in an orphanage.
For one week each Spring, students from Stony Brook University travel to a location in the United States to serve a local community.
